Sandra Thompson

Sandy grew up in Monmouth, Illinois and is currently a grad student at U of I in the school of Social Work.  She has three grown sons and enjoys spending time with them and their families, including six grandchildren.  She enjoys sports and gardening.

 

 

Jeff and Amy Woods

Jeff grew up in Agauram, MA and is a professor of Kinesiology at the U of I.  Amy grew up in Newberry, South Carolina and is also a professor of Kinesiology at the U of I.  Both are interested in wellness and sports.  They enjoy spending time with their two children Jack and Mary Elizabeth.

Gerald and Barbara Bell

Gerald and Barbara grew up in Crawfordsville, Indiana.  Gerald is a retired professor of Kinesiology and Barbara is a retired high school Spanish teacher.  Gerald enjoys civil war history and Barbara enjoys reading.  They both enjoy traveling and their grandchildren.  They raised two children Katie and Nathan. 

 

 

Glenn and Jenni Pence

Glenn grew up in Champaign and is working at U of I in the College of Media.  Jenni grew up in Champaign and is teaching at Mother’s Morning Out.  They enjoy spending time with their three children Dustin (5^th grade), Chloe (4^th grade), and Jackson (Kindergarten).  They enjoy being involved in Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, PTA, and children’s ministries here at Faith UMC.

 

 

Marc and Karen Hollett

Marc and Karen are both employed by the Urbana School District.  Mar is playing on one of Faith’s softball teams this summer.  Both enjoy spending time with their two children, Emily (age 3) and Matthew (5 months).

 

 

Mary Amin

Mary grew up in Champaign and is currently a registered nurse.  She and her husband, Shanid, have three sons Zachary, Esa and Alex.  Mary enjoys walking, gardening, reading, movies and U of I basketball.  She and her husband also enjoy activities with their sons.

 

 

Andrew Bequette

Andrew grew up in Mt. Zion, Illinois and is an attorney.  He enjoys watching movies, listening to music, reading and travel.  He and his wife, Julie, have two young daughters, Avery and Caroline, who were baptized at Faith in May, 2008.

Dave and Rachel Wickness

Dave grew up in Peoria, Illinois and is currently a dentist.  He enjoys golf, working out and attending sporting events.  Rachel also grew up in Peoria, Illinois.  She enjoys exercising and Junior League activities.  They both enjoy spending time with their three year old daughter, Marissa.

Mike and Margee Poole

Mike grew up in Pampa, Texas and is currently a software developer.  Margee grew up in Decatur, Illinois and is a registered nurse.  Margee enjoys singing, needlework and remodeling old homes.  They both enjoy spending time with their two sons Samuel and Jacob.

Kathleen Starks

Kathleen has called Champaign home for the last two years.  She is currently retired which gives her more time to spend with her grandson, Sean Starks.  She enjoys reading, puzzles, walking, and gardening.

 

 

Justin and Erin Uppinghouse

Justin grew up in Quincy, Illinois and is currently a school social worker.  Erin grew up in Bloomington, Indiana and is currently a teacher at Next Generation.  They both love all sports, travel, and they are huge Illini and Cardinal fans.  They enjoy spending time with their new baby girl, Isabella!

John and Jennifer Carson

John grew up in Maud, Texas and is currently in real estate.  He enjoys outdoor activities, biking, golf and volleyball.  Jennifer grew up in St. Louis, Missouri, she is an educator.   She enjoys outdoor activities, crafts, scrapbooking, and playing pool.  Both enjoy spending time with their children Zoe and Cooper.

Lee Nettnin

Lee has been attending Faith UMC for many years.  She grew up in the Chicago suburbs.  She is retired and is a Navy widow. She enjoys genealogy and archeology.  Her hobbies include needlepoint and she loves to travel.  Her travels often take her to see her three grown children and four grandchildren. 

Steve Simon and Anna Dunham

Steve and Ann will be married here at Faith in August.  Steve is from Rantoul and works as Fleet Services Manager for the City of Champaign.  Anna is from Troy and works for the University of Illinois as a marketing director.  Steve likes to golf and they both enjoy their almost 2-year old son, Bailey.

Greg McClain

Greg is the friendly face you see behind the sound board at fusion.  He enjoys boating and talking about the Cubs.

Chuck Smith

Chuck grew up in Villa Grove.  Chuck is a very active athlete, involved with traveling softball teams, and occasionally plays with our church teams.  Married to Jen Smith, they enjoy spending time with their 2-year old son, Corbin.
