Sundays at 9:00 Discovery Class This caring, sharing adult class typically involves 20–30 participants with a wide range of backgrounds and ages. Each session includes announcements, prayer concerns, and devotions as well as lively, discussion-based lesson topics. Open, discovery-style learning is accomplished through classroom activities and informal discussion. Leadership is voluntary and rotational. Study series are often Bible-based, sometimes with a modern twist. Topics are democratically selected and varied throughout the year. The class features periodic social activities for fun and fellowship. They also engage in outside service and support activities such as Christmas caroling, assistance for needy families and Cunningham Home Guardian Parent Program. Join them for fun, fellowship, much laughter and enjoyment. Meets in Room 11
Emerging Issues Emerging Issues studies current topics in relation to faith issues. An earlier study of environmental issues led to developing a recycling program for the church, and influencing the incorporation of green building construction practices for the 2006 additions to the church. The class continues to focus on increasing the congregation’s awareness of environmental and accessibility issues, and encouraging them to become more involved in practicing good stewardship. The class is a discussion class where the conversation flows freely, and they welcome your participation! Meets in Room 26. You and I You and I class has studied many topics over the years, although books of the Bible have been emphasized. Recently the class finished its journey through the Bible and has started again with the New Testament. There is a verse in Revelation that states you will receive many blessings from the study of God’s word, and the You and I class believes this is true. They are eager for you to come and join the class. They welcome adults of all ages. Meets in Room 28.
