Text Box: As a part of our ongoing mission to be transformed people who seek to transform the world, Faith UMC has a very active outreach ministry. From the cradle to the grave, all of our ministries offer opportunity to give of time, resources, and of self to the outreach effort. In 2006, we committed 18.5% of our resources to ministries of justice and peace as we fed the hungry, clothed the naked, built homes for the shelter less, provided school supplies for the underprivileged, and care for seniors and children alike in our community and throughout the world.
Text Box: Three ongoing hands on mission opportunities at Faith UMC are Operacion Hogar, the Appalachian Service Project, and the Center for Women in Transition.
Text Box: Operacion Hogar is an adult mission opprtunity in Juarez, Mexico.
Since 2003, Faith UMC has been sending teams twice a year to work in teh impoverished Juarez neighborhoods of El Chavaria and Anapra. We have built six homes, a medical/dental clinic, and put an addition on a Methodist Church in the last four years in addition to building lasting memories and strong community.  The next dates are Decemeber 29, 2007 - January 5, 2008 and January 19, 2008 - January 26, 2008. For more information, contact Pastor Brad at Brad@Champaignfaith.org.
Text Box: The Applachian Service Project is a youth mission opportunity in the Appalachian states of Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Virginia. For 22 years, we have sent teams of youth to repair homes, making them warmer, safer, and dryer. The next trip will be Summer 2008.

Text Box: The Center for Women in Transition is an intergenerational mission opportunity in the Champaign-Urbana community. Early in 2007, our church adopted the Delores Evans house, committing ourselves to the ongoing upkeep of the house that provides shelter for women in housing transitions. Mrs. Evans was a key part of Faith UMC's outreach efforts for many years.
